This is a collection of four miniature, collectible ceramic buildings from the "Tetley Teafolk 'Houses'" series. These were popular promotional items in the UK, likely from the 1980s or 1990s, based on the characters from Tetley's famous television adverts. Each model is presented in its original, distinctive green box with a cellophane window. Here is a description of each house, from left to right: 1. Maurice’s Workshop: This model depicts the workshop of Maurice, the clever inventor of the Tea Folk. It's a quaint, brick-style corner building with a dark roof, where he would presumably design and build his various contraptions. The sign for "MAURICE'S" is displayed above the window. 2. Nephews School: This two-story building represents the village school attended by the younger members of the Tea Folk community, like the energetic Nephews. It features a light-coloured facade, a reddish-brown tiled roof, and bay windows on the ground floor, giving it the appearance of a classic village schoolhouse. 3. Tina’s Cake Shop: Run by the character Tina, this model is a charming single-story cake shop. It has cheerful yellow walls, a red roof, and the sign "TINA'S" is clearly visible on the front, advertising her delightful baked goods. 4. Gordon’s Potting Shed: This model represents the personal haven of Gordon, the green-fingered gardener of the group. Befitting his character, it's a simple potting shed with yellow walls, a dark roof, and a red door – the perfect spot for tending to his plants. Overall Condition: The boxes are in vintage condition, showing signs of wear such as creasing and minor tears, which is common for items of this age. They are a wonderful piece of nostalgic British advertising history.
