From seasoned veterans like Carla Benson, Jean Carne, Tesa Williams, Fillies Finazz, Kat Fontaine, Sharon Ingram, Barbara Ingram and countless others, to uber talented newcomers such as Ter-Ree and Lady J., the Society Hill roster boasts an embarrassment of riches. Whether a track needs a lead vocalist or a background singer, all of these women have what it takes to fill any role, and they do - year after year, session after session. On the new compilation, "The Sensational Ladies of Society Hill," several of these talented women are the featured attraction, showcasing some well-known songs from the Philly Soul cannon and a few recent originals that fit the bill.
